Mark started playing when he was nine years old and by the time he was 12 was playing guitar for the church worship team. At 14 he had his own band “Modern Praise” which performed in Coffee Shops, Pizza Parlors and churches between Temecula and Escondido |
After High School Mark left for Europe to tour with a band, eventually joining up with a British band “Blue Train” with whom he also toured and made a CD. After going back and forth to England for a two year period he formed his own band in Riverside, “Smokestacks” and recorded two CD’s. He went on to put together his current band “Bucksworth” and produced three more CD’s. He also performs with his two daughters, Georgia and Maggey who sing and play guitar and bass. (Youtube “Mark Nemetz and the Girls”). |
Besides teaching his own children, he has been teaching at Family Music Room for the past five years and has had a “Summer Rock Project” for the students consisting of twenty bands to date. |
Music had always been a big part of Mark’s life and so it was with much planning and dreaming that culminated in the opening of Family Music Room five years ago. It is his desire to see families have the joy of learning to play musical instruments for fun or for a career. There is nothing like music to bring a family together. He says “Stop Dreaming and Start Playing”. |
